LitBuy Versand Deutschland: nine lines, three weights
Yes, LitBuy ships to Germany, and its estimator listed nine lines for it on 19 October 2026. The test used Germany as destination at three weights, entered without an account and without package dimensions. Prices below are LitBuy's list prices in euros, before the new-user shipping promotion. The 1 kg column also carries the dollar figure LitBuy showed alongside.
| Line | Tax label | Days stated | 500 g | 1 kg | 2 kg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LIT-Economy-DHL-DE | Tax free | 10–15 | €16.81 | €24.12 ($27.10) | €38.75 |
| JSF-DHL-DE-1 | Tax free | 8–13 | €17.78 | €25.84 ($29.03) | €41.96 |
| SF-DHL-DE-1 | Tax free | 10–15 | €17.41 | €25.32 ($28.44) | €41.14 |
| JD-DHL-DE-1 | Tax free | 12–17 | €17.93 | €26.14 ($29.37) | €42.56 |
| SD-DHL-DE-1 | Tax free | 10–15 | €18.00 | €26.51 ($29.78) | €43.52 |
| XB-DHL-DE-1 | Tax free | 10–15 | €26.62 | €37.81 ($42.48) | €60.20 |
| JD-DPDMAX-DE-1 | Tax free | 10–16 | €30.47 | €41.06 ($46.13) | €62.26 |
| HF-EMS-DE | Duties payable by recipient | 12–25 | €35.09 | €44.05 ($49.49) | €61.96 |
| LIT-Quickly-DHL-DE | Tax free | 8–13 | €16.96 | €24.42 ($27.44) | €39.35 |
Eight lines say "Tax free"; only HF-EMS-DE says "Duties Payable by Recipient". The carrier sits in the line name: the LIT, JSF, SF, JD, SD and XB lines end with DHL, and JD-DPDMAX-DE-1 is a DPD line. Most tax-free lines divide length × width × height in cm by 8000 for volumetric weight, the EMS line by 6000. LIT-Economy-DHL-DE accepts parcels up to 60 × 50 × 40 cm.
The cheapest line is also a little slower than its twin: LIT-Quickly-DHL-DE costs €0.30 more at 1 kg and states 8–13 days instead of 10–15. Our walk through the fee split is on the shipping cost page.
For most German parcels the €24.12 economy line or its €24.42 Quickly twin is the sensible default.
Einfuhrumsatzsteuer, Zoll and the fixed EU charges
German import VAT is 19% and applies from the first euro; the old €22 exemption ended on 1 July 2021. A temporary EU duty of €3 per item category, for parcels worth up to €150, has applied since 1 July 2026. On its tax-free lines LitBuy pays both for you and bills a flat €3 per parcel, which the estimator shows as a ¥24 tariff prepayment. That €3 is already inside every Germany quote above.
On top of that, LitBuy's notice of 18 October 2026 sets a cut-off of 25 October 2026 at 14:00 Beijing time: every parcel submitted later carries a €2 EU processing fee that LitBuy pays to customs. The EU's own measure begins on 1 November 2026 together with a PID code, which LitBuy says you need not handle. So a tax-free parcel carries €5 of fixed charges, €3 of them inside the quote and €2 added. Detail and the French seizure rules are on the customs page.
EMS is different. HF-EMS-DE has no prepayment, so you owe import VAT, any duty and the postal clearance charge when the parcel is delivered or collected from Zoll.
Pick a tax-free line and the customs side is LitBuy's problem; pick EMS and it becomes yours.
One Berlin parcel, added up
LitBuy publishes no product weights, so the weights below are assumed for this example. The parcel is 1.6 kg, which falls between the 1 kg and 2 kg quotes, so we use the 2 kg quote as the nearest one at or above it. Item prices are hypothetical.
Jeans and trainers on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE, submitted after 25 October 2026
Jeans ¥159 (assumed 0.7 kg) and trainers ¥239 (assumed 0.9 kg in the box), ¥398 at ¥1 ≈ €0.12€47.76
Shipping, 2 kg quote for a 1.6 kg parcel, contains the €3 prepayment€38.75 ($43.53)
Handling fee under the 25 October rule€2.00
Door-to-door total, before coupons€88.51
Choosing HF-EMS-DE for the same parcel would cost €61.96 in shipping for 2 kg, which is €21.21 more than the economy line with its €2 added, and you would still owe German VAT, 19% of the goods alone being €9.07, plus any duty and clearance charge. Use the euro shipping calculator to rerun this with your own weights.
Shipping is over two fifths of the cost of a small German haul, so weigh rows before you add them.
How long LitBuy takes to reach Germany
LitBuy gives two sets of numbers. The estimator states 8–13 working days on the Quickly and JSF lines, 10–15 on the economy line and up to 12–25 on EMS. The Shipping Policy gives a general EU range of 7–14 business days after dispatch, and says parcels are processed within 1–3 business days of your shipping request. It does not guarantee either range, and tracking can take up to 48 hours to appear.
We plan with the line range from the estimator and add the processing days. LitBuy's Delay Protection terms add 10 business days between October and January; see the delivery time page.
Plan three to four weeks from the day you submit the parcel, not two.
If Zoll holds the parcel
A parcel can be stopped for a customs check even on a tax-free line. LitBuy does not publish fees or deadlines for German customs holds, and we will not invent them. What the process normally involves is a written notice, the Benachrichtigung, asking you to present documents or collect the parcel at the Zollamt.
- Read the notice for the office, the reference number and the date it asks you to act by.
- Gather the order confirmation and payment proof from LitBuy, plus the true item value, which must match what was declared.
- Answer in writing or visit the Zollamt before the date on the notice.
- Tell LitBuy support at support@litbuy.com; if you bought its Customs Seizure Protection, say so.
Keep every order record until the parcel is in your hands.
Paying in euros and reading a sheet in English
Nine payment icons sit in LitBuy's footer, running from Visa and Mastercard through PayPal and Klarna to BLIK. Its interface text says that because of Klarna currency limits you must select your local currency, euros for a German address, before paying with Klarna. What checkout offers depends on your address and currency, and we could not see it without an account. Pay per order, so each purchase and each parcel is settled as you place it. More in the payment methods guide.
Searchers also type "LitBuy spreadsheet deutsch". We read LitBuy's English interface and could not verify a German-language one, and the sheets circulating on Reddit and Discord are in English with yuan prices. Start from the LitBuy spreadsheet overview, take the metric size charts as they are and convert yuan at about €0.12. French buyers can read the France page, and Polish buyers the Poland page.
Choose euros at checkout, keep the sheet in English and convert yuan yourself.
Questions from German buyers
Does LitBuy deliver to Germany with DHL?
Yes. Seven of LitBuy's nine Germany lines name DHL, such as LIT-Economy-DHL-DE at €24.12 for 1 kg and LIT-Quickly-DHL-DE at €24.42, and JD-DPDMAX-DE-1 names DPD. HF-EMS-DE travels by EMS instead. The names come from LitBuy's estimator on 19 October 2026; we found no separate delivery-partner list, so check the line name before you pick.
Who pays if Zoll keeps my LitBuy parcel?
LitBuy does not publish a fee for German customs holds, so none can be quoted. On tax-free lines LitBuy pays duty and VAT, but you still handle the notice, documents and any collection at the Zollamt. On the HF-EMS-DE line the recipient owes VAT and duty. Keep order proof and tell support@litbuy.com.
Which currency should I pick for Klarna on a German address?
Euros. LitBuy's interface text warns that, because of Klarna currency limits, you should select the local currency before paying with Klarna, which for Germany means EUR. A Klarna icon sits in LitBuy's footer, but LitBuy publishes no Klarna terms, so Klarna's own conditions apply. Check the amount shown at checkout matches your euro quote.
Is the EMS line to Germany worth it for a first parcel?
Rarely. HF-EMS-DE quoted €44.05 for 1 kg on 19 October 2026 against €24.12 on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE, and it is the only German line labelled Duties Payable by Recipient. You also owe 19% VAT and any duty when it arrives. Its 12–25 day range is the widest too. Take a tax-free line first.
Why do LitBuy's German delivery days differ from its Shipping Policy?
They are two separate statements. The estimator gives each line's working-day range, such as 10–15 for LIT-Economy-DHL-DE, while the Shipping Policy gives a regional range of 7–14 business days for the EU after dispatch, plus 1–3 days processing. LitBuy guarantees neither range, so budget the longer line range and add the processing days.
Is there a German-language LitBuy spreadsheet?
Not that we could verify. The spreadsheets shared on Reddit and Discord are in English with yuan prices, and the LitBuy interface we read on 19 October 2026 was English. Use the metric size charts, convert yuan at about €0.12, and run weights through the euro calculator before you commit to a parcel.
