LitBuy parcels to Britain: nine pound-priced lines, the price per kilo and the VAT line

Checked and updated .

Short answer: Yes, LitBuy ships to the UK. On 19 October 2026 its estimator listed nine lines, the cheapest being FF-Royalmail-GB-1 at £16.87 ($22.49) for 1 kg, £11.08 for 500 g and £28.44 for 2 kg, in 9–16 working days. Seven lines are tax free; HF-EMS-GB and HF-ETK-GB-1 leave duties to you. The EU €2 fee does not apply to UK lines.

Does LitBuy ship to the UK? Nine lines, priced in pounds

Yes. LitBuy's estimator listed nine UK lines on 19 October 2026, and the table shows them in pounds at 500 g, 1 kg and 2 kg. The run was logged out, with no dimensions entered. Prices are list prices, ahead of the new-user promotion, and the dollar figure LitBuy showed for the 1 kg quote is added in brackets in the text below. No EU prepayment applies on UK lines.

Five lines are Royal Mail, two are DPD, and HF-ETK-GB-1 and HF-EMS-GB say "Duties Payable by Recipient". FF-Royalmail-GB-1 is the cheapest at £16.87 ($22.49) for 1 kg in 9–16 working days; SSF-Royalmail-GB-1 costs £3.65 more and states 7–13. Royal Mail lines divide by 8000 for volumetric weight and the DPD lines by 6000.

Royal Mail's £16.87 line is the one to beat; DPD is for parcels that must go fast.

Price per kg to the UK, and why it falls

People search for the "price per kg UK", but LitBuy quotes parcels, not kilos. On FF-Royalmail-GB-1, 500 g is £11.08, which is £22.16 per kilo; 1 kg is £16.87; and 2 kg is £28.44, which is £14.22 per kilo. Part of every quote is a fixed per-parcel operation fee of about ¥10.5 to ¥12.7, so heavier parcels are cheaper per kilo. This is our reading of the three quotes, not a LitBuy statement.

Combining several items into one parcel therefore pays the fixed part once. The calculator interpolates between the three quotes if you enter a weight.

Fill the parcel to 2 kg and the kilo price falls from £22.16 at 500 g to £14.22.

The £135 VAT rule and what LitBuy's labels mean

British rules split at £135: for goods up to that value the seller or marketplace charges VAT at the till, and above it import VAT and duty fall due at the border, with carrier handling fees on top. A policy paper from HMRC dated 13 July 2026 expects the duty relief on low-value imports to go by October 2028. Treat this as the rule, then see how it meets LitBuy.

LitBuy's own help table lists "United Kingdom 0 GBP", and its Shipping Policy says tax-free channels have customs, duties and VAT handled and paid by LitBuy. Seven of the nine UK lines carry that label. LitBuy does not publish how it applies the £135 rule, so we cannot say what the VAT portion of a quote is. The EU €3 and €2 charges do not apply to UK parcels. See the customs page for the full picture.

Rely on the Tax free label, and read the £135 rule as background rather than a plan.

A London parcel on Royal Mail and on DPD

Weights are assumed and item prices hypothetical. Here the parcel weighs 1.5 kg, so the 2 kg quote is the nearest one that covers it.

1.5 kg parcel, assumed, on FF-Royalmail-GB-1

Goods, a hypothetical ¥398 basket at the round rate€47.76

Royal Mail shipping, the 2 kg quote covering a 1.5 kg parcel£28.44 ($37.91)

Same parcel on JF-DPD-GB-1, 2 kg quote£46.21

Difference, DPD over Royal Mail£17.77

Royal Mail shipping for this parcel£28.44

DPD's premium is nearly two thirds of the Royal Mail price for the same parcel. HF-EMS-GB would cost £52.22 at 2 kg and leaves duties to the recipient, with no amount published by LitBuy.

Keep DPD for the rare parcel that cannot wait.

How long the UK takes

The estimator ranges run 7–13 working days on SSF-Royalmail-GB-1, 8–14 on both DPD lines, 9–16 on the two cheapest Royal Mail lines and up to 12–25 on EMS and ETK. The Shipping Policy gives the UK 7–12 business days after dispatch, the shortest of its regional ranges, with 1–3 business days of processing first, and guarantees neither. More on the delivery page.

Payments run in the usual way: the footer shows the same card, wallet and Klarna icons, and you pay per order. American readers can compare with the US page, and the LitBuy spreadsheet homepage has the rows. Our shipping cost overview sets the markets side by side.

Budget two to three weeks and treat both ranges as estimates.

Questions from UK buyers

Does LitBuy ship to the UK?

Yes. LitBuy's estimator listed nine UK lines on 19 October 2026, five on Royal Mail, two on DPD and two EMS or ETK lines. The cheapest was FF-Royalmail-GB-1 at £16.87 ($22.49) for 1 kg in 9–16 working days. LitBuy's company is registered in Coventry, England, though parcels still leave from its Xiamen warehouse.

What is LitBuy's price per kg to the UK?

LitBuy quotes parcels, not kilos. On FF-Royalmail-GB-1 it quoted £11.08 for 500 g, £16.87 for 1 kg and £28.44 for 2 kg, which works out at £22.16, £16.87 and £14.22 per kilo. This is our arithmetic, not a LitBuy statement. A fixed per-parcel operation fee is probably part of why light parcels cost more per kilo.

How does the £135 VAT rule affect a LitBuy parcel?

British VAT is taken at the till for goods up to £135 and at the border above that. LitBuy says tax-free channels have customs, duties and VAT handled by LitBuy, and seven of nine UK lines carry that label. LitBuy does not publish how the £135 rule enters a quote, so we cannot show a VAT line.

Is DPD worth paying more for on a UK parcel?

Seldom. JF-DPD-GB-1 quoted £46.21 for 2 kg against £28.44 on FF-Royalmail-GB-1, a £17.77 premium, for 8–14 working days against 9–16. SSF-Royalmail-GB-1 states 7–13 days for £35.61. If speed matters, that Royal Mail line is the cheaper way to buy it, and it is also labelled tax free, so no duty bill should follow on delivery.

Does the EU €2 fee apply to UK parcels?

No. LitBuy's 18 October 2026 notice concerns the EU, all 27 member states, and the estimator shows no ¥24 EU prepayment on any UK line. UK quotes such as £16.87 for 1 kg are the whole list price. The UK-specific question is whether HF-EMS-GB or HF-ETK-GB-1 leaves a duties bill, and LitBuy publishes no amount.

What delivery window should I allow for a LitBuy order to the UK?

The estimator gives 7–13 working days on SSF-Royalmail-GB-1 and 9–16 on the cheapest line. LitBuy's Shipping Policy gives 7–12 business days for the UK after dispatch, preceded by 1–3 business days of processing. It guarantees neither, so budget two to three weeks, and longer between October and January when LitBuy adds peak-season days.
