Wo ist das LitBuy Warehouse? Xiamen, and what you can see
LitBuy's warehouse is in Xiamen, in Fujian, in south-eastern China. That comes from LitBuy's own Parcel Forwarding Services Agreement, which refers to "our Xiamen warehouse (domestic shipments typically arrive within 3-5 business days)". The street address is not public: the forwarding page shows "Login/Register to get warehouse address", so you only see it inside an account. We do not print any address line beyond the city.
The Xiamen warehouse (das Lager) is separate from the company addresses in LitBuy's footer, which are 7 Copperfield Road in Coventry for LITBUY LIMITED and a Paris office for IYFENIX SARL. Those are registered offices, not places where parcels arrive. The legitimacy page sets out the three company names.
Xiamen is also why the August 2026 hurricane notices mattered: LitBuy said storms in south-eastern China delayed receipt of orders and some shipments. Sellers ship to this warehouse first (status "Shipped (Local)", normally 3–5 days), where parcels are scanned, inspected and shelved within 24 hours. For goods bought elsewhere, the forwarding function gives you the address and asks for the seller's tracking number. The delivery-time page adds the transit days that follow.
Xiamen is the city; the exact address appears only after login.
Ninety free days, thirty paid: the storage rule
Every item, meaning each order number starting with "K", gets 90 days of free storage from the day it is stocked. Storage can run up to 120 days in total, with overdue fees on days 91 to 120. LitBuy's homepage badge says "120-Day Storage" and the help-centre tile says "90 days free storage; fees apply after 30 days overdue"; both read the same once you add 90 and 30.
| Item | Rule |
|---|---|
| Free period | 90 calendar days from stocking, until 23:59:59 on day 90 |
| Paid period | Day 91 to day 120; 0.2% of the item price paid per day |
| Minimum and cap | ¥1 per item per day; ¥300 per item per month |
| Reminders | Free-period: 7 days before, 3 days before, on expiry. Overdue: day 1, day 7, day 15, final due day |
| Disposal | Overdue fees unpaid for more than 30 days, or stored over 120 days |
| Abnormal parcels | 30 days from "Received", no reminders |
| Lit Prime | 30 additional days of storage with no overdue fee |
The fee is 0.2% of the actual item price paid per day, at least ¥1 and at most ¥300 per item per month, settled in yuan. When you submit a parcel, fee calculation stops on the day the parcel order is created, but fees already incurred must still be paid. With several overdue items the bills combine, and you may pay for some and ship them while the others keep accruing.
The first 90 days are free; plan to ship before day 91.
What overdue storage costs in euros
Items under ¥500 pay the ¥1 minimum, which is 0.2% of ¥500. Items at ¥5,000 or more reach the ¥300 cap within 30 days, because 0.2% of ¥5,000 is ¥10 a day. Between those prices the fee grows with the item. At ¥1 ≈ €0.12, which is an approximation:
| Item price paid | Source of the price | Daily fee | 30 overdue days | Why |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ¥159 (about €19) | Jeans, assumed price | ¥1 | ¥30 (about €3.60) | 0.2% is ¥0.32, so the ¥1 minimum applies |
| ¥420 (about €50) | LitBuy example | ¥1 | ¥30 (about €3.60) | 0.2% is ¥0.84, so the ¥1 minimum applies |
| ¥1500 (about €180) | Assumed price | ¥3 | ¥90 (about €10.80) | Standard rate, below the cap |
| ¥4000 (about €480) | LitBuy example | ¥8 | ¥240 (about €28.80) | Standard rate, below the cap |
| ¥6000 (about €720) | LitBuy example | ¥12 | ¥300 (about €36.00) | ¥12 a day would be ¥360, so the cap of ¥300 applies |
The ¥6,000 case is LitBuy's own: 26 days would be ¥312, but only ¥300 is charged because of the monthly cap. The ¥420 and ¥4,000 rows also come from LitBuy's examples. The cap says "per month", and LitBuy does not spell out how it works across a calendar month boundary.
Why a cheap row is hit hardest (30 overdue days)
Jeans, assumed ¥159 (about €19)¥1 a day
30 days at ¥1¥30 (about €3.60)
Fee as a share of the item price18.9%
The minimum fee punishes cheap rows: a ¥159 item left for the full 30 days pays 18.9% of its price, while the ¥6,000 item pays about 5%. If you hold a long LitBuy spreadsheet haul of small items, batch them early; the haul planner CSV has a column for the stocked date.
Cheap items lose the most to the ¥1 minimum, so ship them first.
The storage countdown: dates for your calendar
LitBuy counts calendar days and says the free period ends at 23:59:59 on day 90. We assume day 1 is the stocking date and compute the reminders from LitBuy's schedule of 7 days before, 3 days before and on the last free day. The dates below are examples, not a LitBuy table.
| Stocked on | 7-day reminder (day 83) | 3-day reminder (day 87) | Last free day (day 90) | First fee day (day 91) | Day 120 limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 26 Oct 2026 | 16 Jan 2027 | 20 Jan 2027 | 23 Jan 2027 | 24 Jan 2027 | 22 Feb 2027 |
| 9 Nov 2026 | 30 Jan 2027 | 3 Feb 2027 | 6 Feb 2027 | 7 Feb 2027 | 8 Mar 2027 |
| 1 Dec 2026 | 21 Feb 2027 | 25 Feb 2027 | 28 Feb 2027 | 1 Mar 2027 | 30 Mar 2027 |
| 4 Jan 2027 | 27 Mar 2027 | 31 Mar 2027 | 3 Apr 2027 | 4 Apr 2027 | 3 May 2027 |
An item stocked on 26 October 2026 is free until 23 January 2027, first fee day 24 January and day 120 on 22 February 2027. Put the last free day in your calendar a week early. Storage is also when the 120-hour return window runs, counted from the day an order is stored, as the returns page explains. Compare the remaining storage period LitBuy shows with these dates.
Diary the day-83 reminder as your real deadline.
Reminders, the 120-day disposal and abnormal parcels
LitBuy says it sends reminders by app notification and email 7 and 3 days before the free period ends and on the expiry day, then on overdue day 1, day 7, day 15 and the final due day. If overdue fees stay unpaid for more than 30 days, or the monthly cap is reached and no shipment is submitted, the item is disposed of under the Terms of Service "without further notice". The interface adds "Stored over 120 days — item discarded due to storage timeout".
Abnormal parcels are different. A forwarding parcel the warehouse received without completed logistics information gets 30 days from "Received". Because LitBuy cannot match it to a user, it sends no reminders, and after the deadline it treats the item as abandoned. Enter the seller's tracking number correctly on the forwarding order to avoid it.
Lit Prime, the paid membership launched on 18 September 2026, includes 30 additional storage days with no overdue fee, and members' overdue fees can be waived. On our reading that moves the first fee day to day 121, but LitBuy does not say whether the 120-day limit moves too. Its price is not published.
Missing the notices is the main risk, and abnormal parcels get none.
Inspection and repacking on arrival
When a parcel reaches Xiamen, LitBuy opens it to check for prohibited items, weighs it and stores it. It checks quantity, colour, size and specification, and visible damage. The original outer box is removed and the items go into LitBuy self-sealing bags, except fragile, easily damaged or oversized goods, which may keep the box. Routine photos run 3 to 6; extra photos cost ¥1 each. That inbound weight feeds the estimated weight on your parcel page, covered on the rehearsal page.
Because a stored item can wait up to 90 days at no charge, the cheapest plan is usually one parcel per haul rather than several, as the shipping-cost page shows with €38.75 for 2 kg against €48.24 for two 1 kg parcels. Pay per order and per parcel when you submit them.
Expect your items in LitBuy bags rather than their original boxes, except fragile goods.
Warehouse and storage questions from buyers in Germany
Where is the LitBuy warehouse located?
LitBuy's Parcel Forwarding Services Agreement refers to its Xiamen warehouse, where domestic shipments typically arrive within 3 to 5 business days. The exact address is only shown after you log in or register, so we publish none. LitBuy's footer lists offices in Coventry and Paris, but those are company addresses, not where your parcels are received.
How long can I store items at the LitBuy warehouse?
Each item gets 90 calendar days of free storage from the day it is stocked, and storage can run to 120 days in total. Days 91 to 120 carry an overdue fee of 0.2% of the item price a day, minimum ¥1 and capped at ¥300 per month. Lit Prime adds 30 days with no overdue fee.
What does overdue storage cost for a ¥159 item?
The 0.2% rate gives only ¥0.32 a day, so the ¥1 daily minimum applies instead. Across the full 30 overdue days that is ¥30, about €3.60 at ¥1 ≈ €0.12, or 18.9% of the item's price. A ¥6,000 item would hit the ¥300 cap, about €36, so cheap items suffer proportionally most.
Does LitBuy warn me before it disposes of stored items?
For normal items, yes. LitBuy sends app and email reminders 7 and 3 days before the free period ends, on expiry, and on overdue day 1, 7 and 15 plus the final due day. Abnormal forwarding parcels get no reminders and are destroyed after 30 days from Received. Items stored beyond 120 days are discarded.
Where is the LitBuy warehouse (Lager), and can I see the address?
The warehouse (das Lager) is in Xiamen, according to LitBuy's forwarding agreement. LitBuy shows the street address only after login or registration, under the prompt "Login/Register to get warehouse address". Xiamen is the only location it states publicly, so do not trust an address you find posted elsewhere, and copy the one in your own account.
When does fee calculation stop if I ship an overdue item?
LitBuy says fee calculation stops on the day the parcel order is created, but fees already incurred must still be paid. With several overdue items the bills combine, and you can pay for some and ship them while the others keep accruing. So submit the parcel as soon as the last item you want is stocked.
