From payment to doorstep: how many days a LitBuy parcel really takes

Checked and updated .

Short answer: A LitBuy order takes about 16 to 25 working days to reach Germany on its cheapest line, LIT-Economy-DHL-DE: 6 to 10 working days of buying, warehouse and packing, plus the line's 10–15 working days. France is the same, the US 15 to 28 and the UK 15 to 26 on the cheapest lines. Tracking can stay silent for 3 to 10 days, and Delay Protection pays only after 1.5 times the maximum.

Nine stops between "paid" and "delivered"

A LitBuy order takes roughly 16 to 25 working days to reach Germany on the cheapest line, from the day you pay for the goods. That figure is our sum of the times LitBuy states, read from its help centre, Shipping Policy and estimator on 19 October 2026; LitBuy does not publish one door-to-door promise. The clock runs in two parts: getting the goods into the warehouse, and the line you pick afterwards.

The stages, with the time LitBuy states for each
StageWhat LitBuy saysTime stated
1. Pay for the orderOrder submitted; unpaid orders cancel after 72 hoursYou
2. Agent buys"Within 24 hours"1 day
3. Seller ships to XiamenStatus "Shipped (Local)"3–5 days
4. Warehouse scan-inArrived, then transferred and scannedabout 48 hours after it reaches the delivery point
5. Inspection and storagePhotos taken, items shelvedwithin 24 hours
6. You submit a parcelPick items, address, packing, lineYour choice; storage is free for 90 days
7. PackingHelp centre: within 24 hours; Shipping Policy: processing 1–3 business days1–3 days
8. Line transitEstimator range for the line you chose7–25 working days
9. Delivery and confirmLocal carrier; confirm receipt on the Parcel pageincluded in transit

Stage 6 is the one you control. Items wait in storage until you submit a parcel, so the wait that surprises people is often your own. The warehouse page shows how long that wait can run before fees start. LitBuy's interface also says packing and weighing finish "within 12 hours after submission", tighter than the 24 hours in the help text.

Stages 2 to 7 add 6 to 10 working days before a carrier even sees the box.

Door-to-door totals for Germany, France, the US and the UK

We added the stage times to each line's estimator range. The fast case uses 1 + 3 + 1 + 1 working days before dispatch (buy, seller, inspection, packing); the slow case uses 1 + 5 + 1 + 3. Calendar days multiply by 7/5 and round up, which is our approximation for weekends.

Shipping Policy gives different ranges for the time after dispatch: US 8–16, EU 7–14, UK 7–12 business days, "not guaranteed". Using those and the same pre-dispatch stages gives 14–26 for the US, 13–24 for the EU and 13–22 for the UK. The estimator's line ranges are the better guide because they are per line. The shipping-cost page prices the same lines.

Plan for three to five weeks in calendar terms and treat anything faster as a bonus.

Wie lange dauert eine LitBuy Bestellung nach Deutschland?

For a German address, the estimator lists nine lines at 8–13 to 12–25 working days. The two cheapest, LIT-Economy-DHL-DE (10–15) and LIT-Quickly-DHL-DE (8–13), are both DHL lines, and the quicker one costs only €0.30 more at 1 kg (€24.42 against €24.12). That €0.30 buys two working days at the low end and two at the high end.

The slowest German line is also the only one where you pay duties on arrival: HF-EMS-DE, 12–25 working days. Add the 6 to 10 working days before dispatch and a German order on EMS can run 18 to 35 working days. Details for Berlin and the rest of Germany are on the Germany page, and tax questions on the customs page.

In Germany the quicker DHL line is the better buy: two days for €0.30.

Délai et suivi colis: why the tracking sits still

On tracking, LitBuy's help centre says that on some routes the first tracking update may not appear until about 3 days after the parcel ships. After the first scan, later updates can come 3 to 10 days apart depending on the route. LitBuy adds a reminder under the parcel on routes with long gaps. A quiet tracking page in the first week is therefore something LitBuy describes as normal on some routes.

The Shipping Policy says tracking may take up to 48 hours to appear. Separate from that, LitBuy's logistics flow runs warehouse packing, pickup, security check, flight, possible transfer, airport processing, customs, local carrier and delivery, in that order. For France, see the France page for the GOFO and Colissimo lines.

Wait about 10 days after dispatch before you contact support about tracking.

The August 2026 hurricane delay and the peak-season clause

LitBuy announced on 16 August 2026 that hurricanes in south-eastern China had delayed order receipt and some shipments, a "short-term delay of several days". On 28 August it reported conditions resolved and "the majority of pending orders" processed, with a small remaining backlog. Between those notices lay 12 days. Trustpilot reviews in September and October 2026 still mention the typhoon backlog as a complaint theme.

LitBuy's site code also holds a prepared backlog notice saying processing may be delayed by 3–5 days; we cannot tell when or whether it appears. Separately, LitBuy's Delay Protection terms add 10 business days to the promised time during the October to January peak, which is now. The legitimacy page lists the other Trustpilot themes.

From October to January, LitBuy's own insurance terms assume slower delivery, so leave slack.

Delay Protection: what 1.5×, 2× and 3× mean in days and euros

Without insurance, LitBuy's help centre says no compensation is available for delays. Delay Protection is an add-on shown with the estimator quotes: 15% of shipping if delivery takes more than 1.5 times the line's maximum promised time, 50% at 2 times and 100% at 3 times. Claims must be made within 90 days, the insured amount is capped at ¥5,000 per claim and payout is in gold coins by default. LitBuy shows the premium only when logged in, so we could not see it.

More than 30 working days2× the maximum50%€12.06

The table ignores the 10 peak days, because LitBuy does not publish how they combine with the multiples. Exclusions include bad weather, war and a recipient who does not cooperate with customs. For the cheapest line the first payout starts after 22.5 working days, so it matters only on a parcel that has genuinely stalled. The ordering guide shows where the add-on appears at checkout.

The first Delay Protection tier on a 1 kg parcel is €3.62; it is cover for a stalled parcel, not a slow week.

Delivery questions buyers in Germany and beyond ask

How long does a LitBuy order take to reach Germany?

Our sum of LitBuy's stated stage times is 16 to 25 working days from payment on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE: 6 to 10 working days before dispatch, plus the estimator's 10–15 working days on the line. That is roughly 23 to 35 calendar days. LitBuy publishes no single door-to-door promise, so treat it as a planning range.

Is the LitBuy Quickly DHL line to Germany worth the extra cost?

On 19 October 2026 LIT-Quickly-DHL-DE cost €24.42 for 1 kg against €24.12 on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE, only €0.30 more. Its stated range is 8–13 working days against 10–15. Both are tax free DHL lines, so unless the economy line is out of stock for your destination, the quicker line is the sensible pick.

Why has my LitBuy tracking not moved for a week?

LitBuy's help centre says the first tracking update can take about 3 days after dispatch, and later updates arrive 3 to 10 days apart on some routes. LitBuy treats a quiet page in week one as normal on some routes. If nothing has changed 10 days after dispatch, open a ticket with your parcel number and dispatch date.

Do LitBuy delays get compensated automatically?

No. Without insurance the help centre says delays are not compensated. The optional Delay Protection pays 15% of shipping after 1.5 times the line's maximum days, 50% at 2 times and 100% at 3 times, with claims within 90 days. On a €24.12 shipping fee that is €3.62, €12.06 or €24.12.

Did the August 2026 hurricane really delay LitBuy parcels?

LitBuy's own notices say so: on 16 August 2026 it reported a short-term delay of several days from hurricanes in south-eastern China, and on 28 August it said the majority of pending orders had been processed. Trustpilot reviewers in September and October still mentioned the backlog, so allow extra time in peak months.

Is delivery slower between October and January?

LitBuy's Delay Protection terms add 10 business days to the promised time during the October to January peak, so its own insurance terms assume slower delivery in that period. LitBuy does not say how that interacts with the 1.5 times multiple. For a Germany order now, plan on the slow case of 25 working days, about five calendar weeks.
