Who gains from HooBuy next to LitBuy, and who can skip it
Think of a LitBuy spreadsheet as a shopping list of marketplace listings; the agent is only the door you walk through. HooBuy is a second door into the same rooms, and it earns its place in some situations but not in others.
- Add it if a row's price or stock looks wrong in LitBuy and you want a second reading of the same item.
- Add it if you live in Germany and want a spare agent: Germany is HooBuy's second-biggest search market, level with Italy and behind only Brazil.
- Add it if a link already points at HooBuy, because rebuilding it costs one minute.
- Skip it if all your rows can share one LitBuy parcel; two agents mean two parcels and two sets of fixed charges.
- Skip it if you need figures we cannot give you, such as HooBuy's German parcel rates.
Use HooBuy as a price-and-stock second opinion, not as a reason to split a parcel.
HooBuy on 19 October 2026: the status card
On 19 October 2026 we opened HooBuy's homepage with a scripted browser and it loaded normally, so the label is Open. Open means only that the page works and no credible closure report turned up; it is not praise.
| Fact | Entry |
|---|---|
| Status | Open on 19 Oct 2026, homepage loaded normally |
| Operator | HYPERLAB TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED, London address in the footer (checked 19 Oct 2026) |
| Service fee | No commission advertised, per its own site on 6 Oct 2026 |
| Free storage | 90 days (read 6 Oct 2026) |

Photo allowance and the overdue-storage charge are not in our notes, so we leave them blank rather than fill them from older sites.
HooBuy is reachable and openly run from London; its photo and overdue terms are still to be read.
HooBuy against LitBuy, line by line
The right-hand column only holds what we recorded. Where we recorded nothing, it says so.
| Point | LitBuy | HooBuy |
|---|---|---|
| Agent service fee | None beyond goods, shipping and customs | No commission advertised |

| Pre-pack rehearsal | ¥20, usually within 24 hours | Not checked |
| Card and wallet payment | Nine footer icons, PayPal and Klarna among them | Cards, WeChat Pay, Alipay named |
| EU customs charges | Flat €3 already in the price, €2 added for later parcels | No notice found |
| Trustpilot | Rating hidden; 587 reviews | 3.7 from 569 reviews |
The storage lines look identical on paper, which is a coincidence worth noticing: the free window is the same 90 days, so the choice is not about time. LitBuy's help centre also spells out the cost after day 90, as we explain on our LitBuy warehouse page. Where HooBuy's equivalent sits, we have not read.
On the points we could compare, the two are level; the gaps are in what HooBuy has not told us.
One row, two addresses: swapping a LitBuy link for HooBuy
A spreadsheet link is a wrapper. Underneath it sits a marketplace item number, and that number is the real identifier. LitBuy's format is https://www.litbuy.com/product/<code>/<id>, where the digit stands for the marketplace: 1688 = 0, Taobao = 1, Weidian = 2, JD = 3. Our earlier notes record HooBuy's format as hoobuy.com/product/<code>/<id>, reusing the same digits for Taobao, Weidian and 1688. That pattern was not re-tested on 19 October.
- Copy the item number from the end of the LitBuy link, ignoring anything after a question mark such as an invitation parameter.
- Keep the platform code:
1stays1for Taobao. - Change only the domain:
litbuy.com/product/1/972753749417becomeshoobuy.com/product/1/972753749417. - Load it and compare price, stock and seller shipment date before you pay anything.
The example number belongs to a Taobao listing that opened in LitBuy on 19 October 2026; the HooBuy version is our construction. Going the other way works the same. If the format ever fails, paste the original marketplace link into the agent's search box, or use our LitBuy link converter for the LitBuy side.
Same code, new domain: a HooBuy swap takes four steps and one price check.
What a 1 kg German parcel costs on the LitBuy side
We hold no HooBuy shipping rates and will not make any up. What we can offer is the LitBuy figure to set beside whatever its estimator returns. LitBuy's cheapest German line, LIT-Economy-DHL-DE, priced a 1 kg parcel at €24.12 ($27.10) before promotions when we ran the estimator on 19 October 2026 (Tax free, delivery 10 to 15 working days). That price already contains the €3 flat EU prepayment. A further €2 applies to any parcel that misses the 14:00 Beijing-time deadline on 25 October 2026.
Assumed example: one ¥239 hoodie, assumed 0.8 kg in its bag
Item, ¥239 at ¥1 ≈ €0.12 (about)€28.68
LitBuy 1 kg band, list price€24.12
Added EU handling charge€2.00
Total to a German door, before any coupon€54.80
Anything HooBuy's estimator shows for the same weight replaces the middle two lines. Compare totals, not headline rates, and read the LitBuy shipping cost page if you want the 500 g and 2 kg bands too.
Put HooBuy's 1 kg total next to €26.12 before deciding.
Who searches for HooBuy, and how safely you can pay
Semrush's September 2026 figures give hoobuy about 58,300 monthly searches worldwide. Brazil leads with 27,100, then Germany and Italy at 8,100 each, the US at 6,600 and France at 2,400. The UK does not appear among its top markets, though that is not the same as no searches. LitBuy, for scale, logged about 22,200 German searches that month, so HooBuy's German audience is roughly a third the size. Germans search most for Oopbuy, and the agents hub lines up the rest; our Berlin guide covers the German delivery lines.
On payment, settle each order as you place it and keep nothing parked with either agent. Remember that a card or PayPal dispute locks a LitBuy account until it is withdrawn, so write to support first; our LitBuy payment methods page covers the order of steps. With Trustpilot at 3.7 from 569 reviews as read on 5 to 6 October, HooBuy is a mid-table score, not a warning and not a recommendation.
German demand is real, the reputation is middling, and a small first order is the sensible test.
HooBuy next to LitBuy: questions from German buyers
Can I paste a HooBuy link into LitBuy and keep the same item?
Yes, as long as you keep the item number and the platform code. Our notes record 1 for Taobao, 2 for Weidian and 0 for 1688 at both agents, so only the domain should change, for example hoobuy.com/product/1/972753749417 becomes litbuy.com/product/1/972753749417. We built that pair by hand, so load it and check price and stock before ordering.
Is HooBuy cheaper than LitBuy for a German parcel?
We cannot say: HooBuy's parcel rates are missing from our notes, and we will not guess them. LitBuy's LIT-Economy-DHL-DE line (tax free, 10-15 working days) quoted €24.12 for 1 kg, plus €2 after the 25 October 2026 cut-off. Enter 1 kg and your postcode in HooBuy's estimator and set its total beside that figure.
Why does HooBuy rank higher in Germany than in Britain?
Semrush's September 2026 figures show about 8,100 monthly searches for hoobuy in Germany, while the UK is missing from its top markets. Brazil leads at 27,100. So German buyers are a real part of HooBuy's audience, which makes finding a spreadsheet row there easy, though popularity says nothing about its fees or service.
What should I check on HooBuy before paying for a first order?
Start with the storage rule, the photo allowance and the EU customs line, because our notes record only 90 days and no commission. Then compare final checkout totals. A small first order of one or two rows costs little to learn from, and you settle each order as you place it instead of leaving money with either agent.
Does HooBuy have the EU €3 and €2 fees that LitBuy has?
We found no HooBuy notice on either fee on 19 October 2026. LitBuy has billed a flat €3 per parcel since June and adds €2 to parcels submitted after the 25 October cut-off. That does not prove HooBuy avoids them, because EU customs rules apply to everyone. Ask its support what its German total includes.
Should I move a whole spreadsheet from LitBuy to HooBuy?
Only the rows you actually want, and only after a price check. A row is an item number, so each one can move individually. Keep rows together in one agent when you want a single parcel, because items stored at two agents travel in two parcels and pay two sets of fixed charges.
