Phone cases, earphones and gadgets on a LitBuy sheet: what gets checked, what does not and which line takes a battery

Checked and updated .

Short answer: LitBuy's inspection of electronics only checks that the item looks intact and the accessories are present; it cannot power a device on. In our example, a phone case, wired earphones and wireless earbuds cost €56.51 delivered to France on LIT-Electronic-DHL-FR, against €44.48 on the cheapest France line, because the battery line costs €12.03 more at 500 g. Ask support about batteries before you buy.

Gadget and case rows to check before you add them

These product photos come from repbuysheet.com, which has 10,000+ products to choose from. Each card adds LitBuy's 19 October 1 kg list price for its cheapest tax-free line to Germany (€24.12) to the item price, so you see a rough landed figure before you open the link. A new selection appears every month.

What LitBuy's inspection sees on a gadget, and what it leaves out

The plain wording comes from LitBuy's help centre: "Electronics are considered special items. Our inspectors will only check that the items appear intact and all accessories are included. They cannot test the device's functionality or detect quality issues by powering it on." The Purchasing Agency Disclaimer repeats the point for electrical appliances, branded items and cards, and an inspection article says quality, model and spare parts of electrical and digital products are outside the scope. So the warehouse photographs the box, counts the cables and looks for dents. It does not charge the earbuds, pair the speaker or check the firmware.

For a spreadsheet reader that moves the risk to the row itself. A seller's rating, the number of sales on the listing and any video the seller will send carry more weight than a warehouse photo. The LitBuy spreadsheet overview covers how to read a row; on electronics, read the title for the model, the plug and the battery type before anything else. Routine inspection gives 3 to 6 photos; further shots are ¥1 apiece, about €0.12, which suits a close-up of a serial label or a charging port.

Battery lines: the one named line and what it costs

LitBuy's disclaimer says batteries and other sensitive items will be removed to ensure delivery, and its prohibited policy puts batteries, magnets and embedded electronics on a case-by-case list that may need approval and carrier acceptance. An Italian interface string adds that sensitive items carry stricter requirements and higher rates. On 19 October 2026 the estimator showed one line whose name states the purpose, LIT-Electronic-DHL-FR to France. It cost €28.47 for 500 g, €37.28 for a kilo and €54.89 for two, took 12 to 18 days, carried the tax-free label and accepted boxes up to 120 × 60 × 60 cm. We saw no German line with that name, and the US and UK lists named none either.

That does not prove Germany has no route for batteries; LitBuy does not publish line-by-line acceptance, and our estimator run used general goods. LitBuy's help says staff set restrictions per item and the system filters the routes, so the list you see once the item is stocked is the real answer. If it is empty, the watches page walks through the same no-route steps for button-cell items.

EU plugs, chargers and the CE mark, kept general

For a buyer in Germany or France, the first practical check is the plug. Many listings show a plug type in the photos or a drop-down, and a charger may come with a non-EU plug unless you choose the EU option. LitBuy does not verify this: its inspection looks at appearance and accessories, and a charger with the wrong pins still counts as "intact". Ask the seller to confirm an EU plug in the order note, request a ¥1 photo of the plug on arrival, or plan to buy an adapter.

The CE mark is the manufacturer's declaration that a product meets EU requirements. We could not verify any seller's marking, and LitBuy says it cannot assess quality on electrical goods, so a printed "CE" on a box proves little on its own. Look for it, but do not treat it as inspection. If a charger or battery pack gets hot or fails, stop using it and contact the seller and LitBuy support. We do not give safety certification advice here; the European Commission and national market-surveillance bodies publish product-safety information.

Check the plug in the listing and in a photo, and treat CE printing as a claim, not a test.

Phone cases, earphones and the cases that need a ticket

Phone cases are the easy end of the category: no cell, little weight, and a shape that stacks in a box. Wired earphones are similar, with no battery. The trouble starts with anything that charges. True wireless earbuds contain a cell in each bud and another in the case, a power bank is mostly battery, and a smartwatch combines a cell with a magnetic charger. LitBuy's rules name batteries and magnets in the same list, so treat each charging item as a question for support before paying.

Typical electronics rows and the first thing to ask (assumed weights with box, not data)
RowAssumed weightBatteryFirst question
Silicone phone case0.06 kgNoneMagnet ring inside?
Wired earphones0.12 kgNonePlug type for your phone
Wireless earbuds with case0.25 kgLithium cellsWhich line takes it?
Power bank0.4 kgLarge lithium cellAllowed at all?
Smartwatch0.3 kgLithium cell, magnetCell and magnet both flagged

If a case has a built-in battery pack or magnets, move it to the "ask first" group too. Light rows are perfect fillers, but they also fill a box with soft goods; ask for the original retail carton to stay on earbuds, because fragile or easily damaged items may keep their box. The accessories page covers the packing routine for small rows.

Cases and wired earphones ship like clothing; anything that charges needs a ticket first.

Returns, a dead unit and the warranty gap

LitBuy publishes no warranty on electronics. Before shipping, a return request must come within five days of the item being stocked, and only if the seller accepts returns and the item can be resold. For digital products and appliances, LitBuy's packaging standard says the network access licence must be undamaged and there must be no liquid immersion; a unit you have powered on and dropped will not qualify. An unconditional return costs carriage both ways plus ¥5, about €0.60.

After delivery abroad, the process is stricter. You contact support first, get approval, return the item unused and in original condition to the address support gives, and pay the return shipping unless LitBuy erred. Refunds follow inspection, with 3 to 7 business days of processing and 5 to 10 for the bank, and international shipping, service fees and duties are not refunded. Since the warehouse never powered the device on, test it in the first days. The LitBuy returns page lists the steps.

Power the unit on during the return window, because LitBuy never did.

Worked example: case, earphones and earbuds to France on the electronics line

Assume a silicone phone case at ¥29, wired earphones at ¥59 and wireless earbuds at ¥129, converted at ¥1 ≈ €0.12. Assume weights of 0.06, 0.12 and 0.25 kg, a 0.43 kg total that falls under the 500 g quote; the box measures 22 × 15 × 8 cm, which is 0.33 kg by volume at 8,000. The earbuds contain a battery, so we price the LIT-Electronic-DHL-FR line at its 500 g list price of €28.47 on 19 October 2026, plus the €2 EU fee. All weights are assumed.

Three electronics rows to France, one parcel (hypothetical)

Phone case, ¥29€3.48

Wired earphones, ¥59€7.08

Wireless earbuds, ¥129€15.48

Shipping, 500 g quote€28.47 ($31.99)

€2 fee, EU parcels€2.00

Total delivered€56.51

The three items come to €26.04 and €30.47 for shipping and fee, so freight is 54% of the total. Without the earbuds, the case and wired earphones weigh 0.18 kg and could use LIT-Quickly-GOFO-FR at €16.44 plus €2, which is €18.44. Splitting the earbuds into their own electronics parcel costs a second set of fixed fees, so it only helps when the cheap parcel is large. With all three on the cheapest line, the total would be €44.48, so the battery line adds €12.03. Use the shipping calculator to test your own weights.

Pay for each order and each parcel when it is placed. Without an account, the WhatsApp QR on the contact page leads to a delivered quote.

The earbuds, not the case, set the line, and the line adds €12.03.

Questions buyers ask

Does LitBuy test whether electronics work?

No. LitBuy's help says inspectors only check that electronics appear intact and that all accessories are included, and that they cannot test functionality or detect quality problems by powering the device on. Quality, model and spare parts of electrical and digital products are outside the inspection scope. A working device is therefore the seller's promise, so ask for a short video from the seller before paying.

Is there a German line for gadgets like LIT-Electronic-DHL-FR?

Only one line we saw is named for electronics: LIT-Electronic-DHL-FR, priced at €28.47 for 500 g and €37.28 for 1 kg to France on 19 October 2026, with a 12 to 18 day window. We found no German line named that way. LitBuy filters routes by the restrictions staff set on your item, so the checkout list is the final word.

Are phone cases cheaper to ship than earphones?

Often yes, because a plain case has no battery and little weight. On 19 October 2026 the 500 g quote to Germany was €16.81 on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE, while the France electronics line cost €28.47 at the same weight. A silicone case needs no special line as far as we know, but LitBuy publishes no list, so ask if the case has magnets or a built-in battery.

Do I need an adapter for a charger from a LitBuy sheet?

Not automatically. LitBuy does not check plug type, and its inspection does not cover the quality or model of electrical products. Check the listing for an EU two-pin or Schuko-compatible plug, or plan to buy an adapter, and look for CE marking on the device or box. We could not verify what a seller prints, so ask for a photo of the plug.

What happens if my earphones arrive dead?

Contact LitBuy support first. After delivery abroad, LitBuy requires approval before a return, the item must be unused and in original condition, and you pay return shipping unless LitBuy made the error. Refunds follow inspection, 3 to 7 business days plus 5 to 10 for the bank. A power-on test is not part of inspection, so a dead unit is a seller dispute, not a warehouse miss.

Can I ship a power bank or smartwatch through LitBuy?

Treat both as hard cases. LitBuy's prohibited policy lists non-compliant lithium batteries as prohibited and batteries and items with magnets or embedded electronics as case-by-case. Its disclaimer says batteries are removed from sensitive items. A power bank is mostly battery, so ask support in a ticket before buying and expect a higher quote or a refusal.
